Within the Malibu wedding ceremony of Tish Cyrus-Purcell and Dominic Purcell

“Last Saturday, Tish Cyrus and Dominic Purcell exchanged vows in an intimate poolside ceremony, surrounded by family and friends, at her daughter Miley’s residence in Malibu, California. The couple’s initial connection was made through social media, as Tish revealed, ‘I reached out to Dom via direct messages, and the rest is history.’ She fondly recalls, ‘It was love at first sight for both of us!’

Their engagement took place the previous Thanksgiving, with Dom and Miley taking charge of the planning. Tish reminisces, ‘Dom, along with Miley, orchestrated the entire affair. They knew we’d all be together as a family, and it seemed like the perfect moment.’ Tish shared the engagement news on Instagram in April, accompanied by a photo of her emerald-cut ring, captioned, ‘A thousand times… yes.’

As the wedding planning commenced, Tish took an active role, personally selecting every detail. She collaborated with coordinators Edgar Hayrapetyan and Pat Pedraja but maintained a strong hand in the process. She proudly states, ‘I actually picked out everything myself. I had a clear vision and was quite hands-on throughout. I’m absolutely delighted with how it turned out. I wouldn’t change a thing!’

For her walk down the aisle, Tish donned a strapless white lace gown with an A-line skirt designed by Netta Benshabu, chosen with the assistance of her stylist, Bradley Kenneth. Tish explains, ‘I couldn’t decide between two dresses, so I wore both. The ceremony dress was the most romantically exquisite gown I’ve ever seen. It truly felt like an extension of myself and, most importantly, it made me feel as I do when I’m with Dom—beautiful. That’s how he makes me feel.’

Tish later changed into a second gown—a silk ensemble with spaghetti straps and a slit designed by Grace Loves Lace—for the reception. Dom opted for a white button-down shirt and vintage slacks from a recent film project. Tish shares, ‘Dom has his unique style, and I wanted his attire to reflect him.’ The bridesmaids wore ice blue dresses by Bec & Bridge Bridal and carried bouquets of white roses and baby’s breath. Tish explains her choice, saying, ‘With the ocean as our backdrop, I knew the dusty blue color would be stunning.’

Throughout the day, the focus remained on Tish and Dom’s love, which took center stage. As they exchanged vows amidst a scattering of white rose petals and with guests observing from across the pool, it was evident that their goal had been accomplished. Miley reflects, ‘Throughout my life, my mom has been the one working behind the scenes. She was always the one getting me ready for significant events, starting with cheerleading competitions and later on sets or backstage before performances. She never stopped supporting me and celebrating my decisions. Now that I’m older, I feel honored to be that person for her.’

To fulfill this role, Miley walked her mother down the aisle. She adds, ‘Seeing my mom so happy and in love is incredibly emotional for me. Dom and my mom share the sweetest, most genuine love. It’s as if they’re experiencing it for the first time, which suits my mom, who is such a young spirit. Since they met, they both seem to be aging in reverse. Somehow, my mom has become even more beautiful. The day was as special and magical as they are. Standing beside my mother and giving her away to Dom is a moment I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.’

Tish concludes, ‘It was like stepping into a fairytale—the most romantic fairytale you could ever imagine.'”
