Bucks Crash Out in First Round Again, Pacers Seal Series Win

For the second year in a row, the Milwaukee Bucks’ hopes of winning a championship were dashed when they were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. The Bucks’ wild season came to an end in front of disgruntled supporters in the Deer District when they lost Game 6. Milwaukee’s season got off to a promising start. The superstar Damian Lillard’s offseason addition raised expectations that the team would win the NBA championship again in 2021. Still, the team suffered a string of defeats.

A major toll was taken by injuries to important players, including a sidelined Giannis Antetokounmpo and a crippled Lillard.

After the game that decided the series, Khris Middleton said, “They gave everything, but tonight it wasn’t enough.”

In agreement, head coach Doc Rivers praised the Pacers’ tenacity in the face of the Bucks’ personnel difficulties. They are a skilled, well-trained squad. We addressed the injuries, but we give them credit,” he remarked.

Despite all the obstacles, Milwaukee achieved history. The NBA’s first-ever postseason victory came in Game 5 when a club managed to win without its two best players from the regular season. Rivers described it as an amazing, arduous accomplishment.

However, inconsistency ultimately ruined the Bucks’ season. Milwaukee was unable to establish a rhythm even with a strong roster and the experienced guidance of Rivers, who took over for fired coach Adrian Griffin in the middle of the season.
